LED white light blinking but not coming up on. You can identify the My Book Live by looking for the model number on a sticker on the bottom of the device. I formatted my wd my book essential external hard drive to fat32 but my xbox 360 still wont recognize it. The case has a small indicator light on the front as well as the WD brand logo. Then your Xbox One operating system will reset automatically and the corrupted data will be repaired.-image from Fix 5.
The My Book Live comes in a black plastic case shaped like, well, a book with a curved spine. Select the Reset and keep my games & apps option when you are prompted with a confirmation message. I have thousands of video files that are currently backed up on two 2TB WD external hard drives. I have just bought a 3TB WD external hard drive. I am using an Iomega iConnect and I have a new Western Digital My Book Essential 3 TB USB drive.

You can configure the settings of the device (date, users, public shares, etc) by entering the IP address of the My Book Live into your browser to access the device dashboard. To use the device, plug in the AC power adapter and attach an Ethernet cable from the port on the back of the My Book Live to a port on your router as shown in the manual.
